Calling all Food Lovers, the 2018 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival will be returning to Epcot on August 30 – November 12, 2018. If there’s one time of year to eat and drink your way around Disney it’s during this Autumn Festival which is the most popular of Epcot’s four annual festival offerings. Details are starting to trickle in for the 2018 Festival which will include global marketplaces where you can sample cuisine from around the world, the ever popular Eat to the Beat Concert Series, food and beverage seminars as well as grand tasting events. However, if there’s one offering that has us the most excited it’s definitely the eclectic array of Signature Dining events on offer during the 2018 Fest.
To give you a taste of what the Epcot Food & Wine Festival is all about, here’s a look at 9 of these special signature dining opportunities!
1. Mexican Tequila Lunch –Held at La Hacienda de San Angel in Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion, this special tasting event features south-of-the-border cuisine paired with tequila! Guests will get to indulge in a 4-course Mexican meal where you are invited to celebrate your senses as you sample from a diverse range of tequila and mezcal selections. Each of the drinks on offer will be carefully chosen to accompany the spices found in these regionally themed dishes. The event will take place on the following dates:
August: 30, 31
September: 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28
October: 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, 31
November: 1, 2, 7, 8, 9
The cost to attend the Tequila Lunch is $85 per person plus tax. Gratuities are included. The event takes place from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm on the above-listed dates.
2. Italian Food, Wine vs. Beer Pairing – Head on over to Via Napoli for this delightful Signature Dining event where you can sample authentic Italian dishes with a twist! Each menu item is expertly prepared and served with regional Italian beverages. Guests get to indulge in 5-course gourmet meal paired with the chef’s selections of Italian wines and craft beer which have been chosen to match the dishes perfectly. The event will take place on the following dates:
September: 25, 27
October: 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25, 30
November: 1, 6, 8
This tasting will take place from 1:30pm – 4:15 pm on the dates listed above and will set visitors back $88 per person plus tax. Gratuities are included.
3. Italian Regional Food & Wine Pairing Luncheon – Perfect for wine lovers, guests will gather in a rustic wine cellar where Italy’s finest dishes are coupled with masterful wine selections. Visitors will be able to savor a spectacular 5-course meal with each course beautifully paired with wines chosen for their complementary yet distinct flavors. This event also takes place a Tutto Gusto at Epcot’s Italy Pavilion. The dates are as follows:
September: 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26
October: 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, 31
November: 5, 7
The event takes place on the dates above from Noon – 2:30 pm. The cost to attend is $99 per person which includes gratuities but not taxes.
4. Parisian Breakfast – Guests looking for a budget-friendly Signature Dining Event will definitely want to reserve your space for the Parisian Breakfast held at Chefs de France at Epcot’s France Pavilion. Here you’ll be able to start the day with a petit déjeuner! You’ll be able to sip cappuccino, hot chocolate or indulge in a French Mimosa while enjoying a buffet jam-packed with Parisian goodies. The event takes place on the following dates:
Dates: September: 22, 29
October: 6, 13, 20, 27
November: 3, 10
The Parisian Breakfast is held in the morning from 9:15 am – 10:30 am. The cost is $40 per person plus tax and gratuity.
5. French Family Meal Traditions – For a bit of French decadence, head over to Monsieur Paul’s at Epcot’s France Pavilion for this succulent offering featuring authentic French dishes just like Maman used to make. The chefs at Monsieur Paul share their treasured family recipes. Each dish is created with traditional Le Creuset cast iron pots famous for a rustic family-style meal. Each of the dishes is artfully paired with a wine selection. The meals take place on the following dates:
October: 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, 28
November: 2, 4, 9, 11
The cost to attend is $95 per person including gratuities but not taxes with the Family Meals taking place from 12:00 pm – 3:30 pm.
6. The Parisian Afternoon, Sandwiches, Macarons and Bubbles – Those looking for light bites need look no further than this delightful afternoon offering. Also held a Monsieur Paul, guests can enjoy everything from finger sandwiches to melt-in-your-mouth macarons to delicate petit fours. Visitors will also get to sip on unlimited mimosas! The dates for The Parisian Afternoon are as follows:
September: 29
October: 6, 13, 20, 27
November: 3, 10
This dining event takes place from 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm. The cost to attend is $55 per person including gratuities but not tax.
7. The “Hibachi” Experience: Iron Chef – Fans of Japanese cuisine will definitely want to head over to Teppan Edo in Epcot’s Japan Pavilion for this entertaining offering. During this special event, guests can eat, drink and be amazed as culinary masters show off their delicious Hibachi skills. Watch as the restaurants “performing” chefs add a modern twist to traditional Japanese cooking. They’ll prepare a 5-course culinary adventure featuring Wagyu beef, seafood, poultry and more. This Signature dining event takes place on the following dates:
October: 1, 15, 29
November: 5
The event takes place from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. The cost is $180.00 including gratuities, plus tax.
8. Tokyo Pairing – Visitors to Tokyo Dining at the Japan Pavilion in Epcot will get to indulge in a dinner featuring a traditional 3-course Japanese meal as well as sake and other libations. The menu will include Wagyu beef, lobster tail and Blue Fin sushi. The offering will take place on the following dates:
Dates: October: 4, 11, 18, 25
November: 1, 8
The cost to attend this special pairing is $160 per person including gratuities but not taxes. The event takes place from 4:00pm -6:00 pm.
9. Mediterranean Food & Wine Pairing – Head on over to one of our favorite World Showcase restaurants- Spice Road Table in the Morocco Pavilion as gourmet chefs bring an array of zesty recipes to life. Dishes will be designed to showcase the unique flavors of Morocco, the Mediterranean and beyond. Each selection will be perfectly paired with a wine selection. The experience also includes a sparkling wine reception at the start of the event. The dates for this four tasting size course are:
September: 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26
October: 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, 31
November: 5, 7, 12
The pairing will take place on the tastes listed above from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. The cost to attend is $65 per person plus tax. Gratuity is included.
