Get out your napkins Disney Foodies! I’m here to chat about the Palo Champagne brunch and there might be some drool on your computer when I am done. I love me some Disney food and the brunch served at Palo is some of the best.
Palo is an adults-exclusive restaurant available to book for a $40 surcharge per person and can be found aboard all four Disney Cruise Line ships (Disney Fantasy, Disney Dream, Disney Magic, Disney Wonder). The upscale Italian specialty restaurant is on the topmost aft deck on all the ships and affords beautiful ocean views. The Champagne brunch is served while the ship is out at sea on sailings of 4 nights or longer. I prefer the brunch instead of the dinner offered, so that I don’t miss any of the rotational restaurants or the nighttime entertainment, but that is a personal choice. Any meal at Palo is wonderful and I have done both brunch and dinner.
The brunch features made-to-order items on a menu (such as lasagna, waffles, pizza, Eggs Benedict) and a buffet laden with seafood, pastries, cheeses and dessert. You also get one complimentary glass of Champagne or a mimosa included in the surcharge. We ordered a variety of the made-to-order items to compliment the buffet and they were all delicious. But enough chit chat. Let’s get to the food!!
A few things to remember:
Even though this meal carries the $40 surcharge per person, it is a very popular meal. Advanced dining reservations are highly recommended. These can be made online when your booking window opens, based on your Castaway Club level.
Palo restaurant has a dress code, so you will want to make sure you plan ahead. Men are required to wear dress pants or slacks and a collared shirt. For women, a dress, skirt or pants and a blouse. Jeans may be worn if in good condition (no holes). Not allowed are tank tops, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, shorts, hats, cut-offs, torn clothing, t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics, flip-flops or tennis shoes.
The Palo brunch is an overall fabulous experience! I definitely think it is worth the small surcharge. Combine the fantastic food, wonderful service and stunning views and it’s a perfect trifecta.
