Disney World is going through lots of changes ahead of it’s 50th anniversary, so we have a lot of new shows and attractions coming in 2021 and beyond!
The park that will be getting more changes is definitely Epcot. From a new entrance, new attractions, restaurants and even a new nighttime spectacular! We can’t wait to see everything that’s coming for the park.
But the other parks are no exception, they will be getting some new attractions and restaurants too. Let’s take a look:
REMY’S RATATOUILLE ADVENTURE
Probably one of the most anticipated attractions coming to Epcot. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is pretty much done and probably opening really soon!
The ride will shrink you down to the size of a rat and take you on a culinary adventure with Remy, racing across Gusteau’s Kitchen floor! We can’t wait!
HARMONIOUS
This new nighttime spectacular is a dreamscape of Disney music and images, reimagined by diverse cultural musicians and artists from around the world. Soon you will discover how Disney music has the power to inspire and unite us all with the magic of possibility.
Harmonious is set to open later this year.
SPACE 220
Can you imagine step into Space 22o and being welcomed with a celestial panorama of a space station for a delicious meal? Sounds out of this world!
Lucky for us, this will be possible at Epcot! The restaurant was originally opening in 2019, then in 2020 but due to the pandemic that had to be suspended. Right now there is no confirmed date but we hope it will be very soon.
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: COSMIC REWIND
Another highly anticipated ride coming to Epcot is Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. This ride will in the galaxarium, a planetarium like exhibition that explores the similarities and mysteries of the formation of Earth’s galaxy and Xandar.
The construction of this attraction was set back due to the pandemic, so we are not sure if it will be ready for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary. Disney recently announced the attractions coming for 2021 and this one wasn’t on the list but who knows! Maybe they will surprise us!
LA CREPERIE DE PARIS
This new creperie will offer both table and quick service options and will feature a menu from chef Jerome Bocuse! The restaurant will draw inspiration from the Brittany region of France, so guests will be able to enjoy savory crepes called “galettes” and sweet ones as well!
This location is set to open in 2021!
JOURNEY OF WATER: INSPIRED BY MOANA
This attraction will let guests interact with magical, living water in a beautiful and inspiring setting. Journey of Water: Inspired by Moana will lead to new lands in the area of the park formerly known as Future World.
There is no set opening date for this attraction yet but hopefully it will open this year!
ROUNDUP RODEO BBQ
A new table service restaurant is coming to Toy Story Land! Roundup Rodeo BBQ will take guests on a rootin’ tootin’ dining experience in a new play area, a rodeo arena created by Andy himself! We can’t wait!
TRON LIGHTCYCLE POWER RUN
This semi enclosed launched steel motorbike roller coaster will take guests on a ride through the Grid on their light cycle.
Coming to Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom, just next to Space Mountain, this coaster will become a guest favorite for sure!
Unfortunately Tron Lighthouse Power Run won’t be opening in time for the 50th anniversary of the park. It seems we will have to wait until 2022 to see it.
STAR WARS GALACTIC STARCRUISER
This new hotel will let you live your very own epic Star Wars story!
Opening at Walt Disney World in 2021, this new resort will allow you to board a Galactic Starcruiser to then be ushered into a launchpad where they’ll have a simulated experience of blasting off into space. Once you arrive to the Halcyon, you will emerge into the atrium where the atmosphere will reinforce that you are on a Starcruiser. Sounds fantastic!
CIRQUE DU SOLEIL: DRAWN TO LIFE
A love letter to the art of Disney animation. This show is the first ever collaboration between Cirque du Soleil, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering!
Drawn to Life will take you on a journey into a world where an animator’s desk becomes the stage and drawings come to life.
Coming to Disney Springs soon!
