We’ve all a been there. You buy a brand new souvenir at the theme parks only to find that you left it behind on the last ride. However, Walt Disney World has recently introduced a new system making it easier than ever to be reunited with any items that you may misplace while at the parks, Disney Springs, ESPN Wide World of Sports or on Disney transportation.
If you are in any of the above-mentioned areas and found that you have left something behind, here are the steps that you should take:
1. Visit DisneyWorld.com/lostandfound to get started. This new webpage is designed to help reunite you with anything you may have left behind quickly and efficiently.
2 . Enter information about your lost item.
3: Fill in your contact information and click submit!
Taking these steps will allow Disney’s team to start looking for the item. Once the online form is filled out, you will receive an email notification from Disney with your Lost Item Claim Number. The team will look for your item and will provide you with an update within 48 hours. If the item is located Disney will contact you with instructions on where to go to be reunited with your missing item!
Disney has created a video that walks you through the Lost & Found process.
Check it out here:
How long will Disney hold on to lost items? Highly valuable items such as wallets, credit cards, prescription glasses and cameras will be held for 90 days. Items of lesser value like sunglasses, toys, clothes or hats will only be held for 30 days.
What happens if I lose an item at my Walt Disney World Resort? Then do not use the Lost & Found service listed above. Rather you should contact the Lobby Concierge at your resort (or the resort where you lost your item) for assistance.
I left some of my belongings on Disney’s Magical Express Bus when going to or from the airport what should I do? Magical Express is a separate company and therefore you would need to take slightly different steps. If an item has been lost for less than 30 minutes contact 866.599.0951. If the item was lost over 30 minutes ago you should contact Mears Transportation group at 407.423.5566.
