The Things We are Looking Forward to the Most When Disney Re-opens 1

We are all counting down the day until Disney re-opens. These closures have all the fans at a loss feeling like they are missing their happy place. So much so that it has us fans re-creating our favorite Disney meals, donning our ears and Disney swag and even re-creating Disney rides at home. It has been quite entertaining to watch everyone’s efforts to bring a little of that Disney Magic into their homes during this time. But, it still can’t quite compare to the real deal. I know I can speak for all Disney fans out there when I say we are missing going to the parks.

So what can’t you wait to do when you enter Disney in what will feel like “the first time in forever”? I know personally, there are so many things I can’t wait to do once they open up the gates again? One thing I anticipate being a big event would be the opening day when they have their first official Rope Drop Ceremony. I bet it will be a little extra Magical for Disney and guests alike. It will be a celebration I can imagine, that we collectively beat this thing and can enjoy the finer things in life again and being out in the public once more.

The food, I mean let’s be honest it’s all about those Disney treats and eats. I can smell them now! When you walk down Main street and the scents just start to hit you. Ahh! I miss it. Thinking about all the treats you intend to eat on your next trip and planning your day around your eating schedule. I just want to eat something Mickey-Shaped. I know I am not the only one.

The rides. After all of this being cooped up in the house and having more stress than normal, the rides will help bring joy, laughter, and thrill back into our lives. I want to go straight for a roller coaster just to get those butterflies and belly laughs going.  Then maybe Peter Pans flight to think happy thoughts.

Then over to Animal Kingdom to watch the Lion King show and belt out Hakuna Matata reminding myself it means no worries. Or any stage show for that matter because Disney has amazing stage shows and they make me feel like I am in the movie.

food and wine

I can’t wait to go to a festival at Epcot. They are one of my top favorite things to do. The food and wine festival in the fall takes the crown. I can’t wait to eat and drink around the World Showcase with my friends and family. Also listening to my favorite band Hanson perform at the Eat to the Beat Concert Series has become a fall tradition for me.

The Fireworks Shows would be pretty high on my list of things I can’t wait to do when Disney reopens, because they are just magical. They give me the feels in a good way. The sparkle is beautiful and wows you with excitement, and I know we all could use a little bit of that right now.

In general I really just can’t wait to soak it all in. The ambiance of Disney, the sounds, the smells, the tastes, the excitement, and the magic. We don’t call it the Most Magical Place on Earth for nothing. Disney has a way of bringing joy to mankind, and it will be a day to celebrate when the gates open back up.
