If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then it looks like someone might of had Disney on the mind…

The National Hurricane Center recently announced the 2021 Atlantic Hurricane names. A few of them sound as if the choices are Disney inspired names, so let’s take a look!

Disney Hurricane

Elsa and Anna

Isn’t it ironic that two of the hurricane names are Frozen related? Even if they’re using Ana instead of Anna, it’s amusing that it’s paired with Elsa as names on the list.

Speaking of Frozen, guests love seeing the two Frozen inspired attractions at Walt Disney World Resort!

For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration

If you have never gone to this attraction before – do not write it off just based on the fact that it is a sing-along. It is so much more than that. See your Frozen favorites on stage being navigated by two hilarious narrators. You’ll sing, you’ll laugh and you’ll plan on coming back to enjoy Frozen with a bunch of Frozen fans such as yourself!

Frozen Ever After
Would this even be a Frozen attractions list if I did not bring up the Frozen Ever After ride? On this ride, you see Elsa’s beautiful ice palace whilst keeping a lookout the queen herself! Anna, Olaf and many other of your film favorites are there to welcome you along this magical ride.

WandaVision

Wanda

Another hurricane on the list for 2021 is a curious choice…Instead of a Disney Princess or Queen, it seems the inspiration came from a Marvel Superhero! The name certainly seems timely considering the focus on the Avenger Wanda Maximoff on Disney+ this year.

WandaVision is a blend of classic television inside the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Both Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) play two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives who begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

So far, the premise of the show is still a mystery. For instance, how did Vision return? What led to Wanda and Vision living in a bizarre suburban environment? There’s certainly more to the story, but we’ll have to wait and see the series unfold.

Peter

Finally, there’s Peter…and who else is the most iconic Disney representative for that name? Why, Peter Pan, of course!

Peter Pan’s Flight is an iconic centerpiece of Fantasyland. Of all the classic dark rides found at Disneyland, it’s easily considered the most popular. But why is it so popular? Peter Pan’s Flight, with its unique flying ships, elevated track, and spacious rooms, offers a delightful fantasy experience for kids of all ages. Like Wendy, John, and Michael, millions of Disney Park guests have experienced what it’s like to fly past London’s Big Ben, toward the second star to the right and straight on ‘til morning.

Well, we know we may not like to dwell upon hurricane season, but at least we’ll have some interesting names this year!
