If there’s one trend that has really taken off in 2018, it’s not Rose Gold or even Millennial Pink but rather the fun that comes with scouting Disney World and Disneyland in search of the most colorful and unique Instagram backdrops. If you plan on capturing a lot of selfies during your next Disney visit there here is a handy-dandy guide to the most Instagrammable walls at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland to get you started.
Walt Disney World: Magic Kingdom
The Purple Wall – Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor- Tomorrowland- Let’s start with the wall that started it all. All you need to do is #purplewall on Instagram and you’ll see what we’re talking about. You’ll find this colorful backdrop near the entrance of Tomorrowland. You can choose from the traditional solid purple section or Disney recently added an updated portion of the wall featuring the fun geometric shape that you see above. Whichever you choose, with a backdrop this unique and colorful your snaps are sure to shine.
The Carousel of Progress Wall – Tomorrowland –While we are in Tomorrowland, let’s pop over to another one of our favorite backdrops! Because the wall you see above is a part of the Carousel of Progress attraction you can’t get too close but with a bit of creativity, it makes for an excellent shot. The bright colors and geometric patterns make it one of the Magic Kingdom’s most sought-after snaps. Try to nab a shot next time you’re waiting in line.
The Candy Stripe Wall—Main Street Confectionery – Main Street U.S.A – This has to be our new favorite Instagram location. Not only do the beautiful pastel colors of the Candy Stripe Wall (#candystripewall) lend themselves well to the perfect backdrop but at this delightful confectionary, there is no shortage of fun props!
Walt Disney World: Epcot
The Land Wall – The Land Pavilion – This is one of those places you may walk past dozens of times without realizing how photo-worthy it really is. Next time you’re walking up the incline toward The Land Pavilion to enjoy Soarin’ or a visit to Sunshine Seasons, take a look at the beautiful mosaics adorning the walls. The combination of colors and designs make for the perfect photo backdrop.
Toothpaste Wall—The Seas with Nemo and Friends – Next time you’re visiting The Seas with Nemo and Friends or Turtle Talk with Crush, be sure to look for the #ToothPasteWall upon making your exit. The fun nautical splash of color makes this wall a popular photo stop for both guys and gals!
Blueberry Wall – Spaceship Earth – A fan favorite, the Blueberry Wall (#blueberrywall) is located near the exit of Spaceship Earth. Its swirl of gorgeous blue hues makes for the perfect shot during those sunny Orlando afternoons.
Bubblegum Wall – Spaceship Earth – The Blueberry Wall isn’t the only stunning backdrop you’ll find at Spaceship Earth. You’ll also want to be on the lookout for this iconic backdrop. Turn right or left as soon as you exit Spaceship Earth and there it is! #BubbleGumWall.
Rose Gold Wall- Mission: Space –With the Rose Gold trend still alive and well at Walt Disney World, another Instagram-worthy wall you may want to check out is just outside of Mission: Space which is winning fans over with it’s rose gold hue. Don your Minnie Ears, grab your spirit jersey and show your affinity for all things rose gold at this trendy location (#rosegoldwall).
Walt Disney World: Animal Kingdom
Mickey Mouse Wall – Harambe Market – Animal Kingdom – Harambe Market in the African section of Walt Disney World is a perfect place to scout for Instagram-worthy backgrounds. We’ve seen this shot of Mickey Mouse making the rounds lately and have to say its one of our favorites.
Moss Wall – Pandora- When you enter Pandora- The World of Avatar start walking toward Satu’li Canteen. Just opposite the front entrance of the restaurant is this colorful Disney Wall (#MossWall).
You Are Most Beautiful Wall – Harambe Marketplace – This spot is quickly rising the ranks as an Instagram favorite. It does take a bit of hunting to track it down but you’ll find it near a cast-members only doorway.
Walt Disney World: Hollywood Studios
Muppet Wall – Grand Avenue – For fans of the Muppets, this Instagram-worthy wall is the perfect backdrop. Unleash your inner Kermit the Frog or Miss Piggy in front of the orange-paint splattered wall located on Grand Avenue (#muppetwall).
Popsicle Wall – Toy Story Land – With the opening of Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios there is a few new fantastic backdrops that already have become favorites with Instagram fans. We’re quite partial to the playful Popsicle Wall (#popsiclewall) which you’ll find near the exit of Toy Story Mania.
Toy Story Block Wall – Toy Story Land – While you’re over at Toy Story Land be sure to head over to the Block Wall (#toystorylandblockwall) where you can nab a gorgeous shot against this beautiful backdrop featuring vivid primary colors.
Checkerboard Wall—Toy Story Land – Toy Story Land is so new that we’ve yet to capture a photo of this fantastic new wall. Located next to Toy Story Mania! We’re told it is the go-to location for a bit of Toy Story-themed Instagram inspiration (#checkerboardwall).
Walt Disney World: Resorts
Polynesian Wall – Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort – There’s no shortage of tropical inspiration at this popular monorail resort. Head over to the outdoor patio at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto for a shot like the beautiful one above. The wonderful geometric shapes found on some of the external walls are also great for those looking for a bit of a mid-century modern feel.
Flower Power Wall – Disney’s Pop Century Resort – Adorning the walls in the 1960’s section of the resort, the Flower Power Wall is perfect for an Instagram photo with a playful retro feel (#popflowerwall).
Disneyland Resort: Disneyland
“it’s a small world” wall – Disneyland – We think this backdrop deserves to be right up there with Disney World’s Bubble Gum Wall for best Disney Instagram backgrounds. This “it’s a small world” wall is a pretty popular place to snap that perfect shot so why not add yours to the mix? You’ll find it right behind Fantasy Faire Gifts (#itsasmallworldwall.)
Star Wars Wall – Tomorrowland – Get a bit of photo inspiration from a galaxy far, far away. The Star Wars Wall (#starwarswall) wraps around Star Wars Launch Bay. May the force be with you in snapping an amazing shot! (#starwarswall)
Minnie Mouse Wall—Mickey’s Toontown – If you love polka dots as much as Minnie Mouse than we’ve got the perfect mouse-inspired backdrop for you. Head over to the Minnie Mouse Wall (#minniemousewall) located to the right of Minnie’s house in Mickey’s Toontown.
Disneyland Resort: Disney California Resort
Buzz Lightyear Wall – Hollywood Land – We can’t get enough of this Buzz Lightyear-inspired image posted on a wall in Hollywood Land next to the Disney Visa area. With the colorful image and bright blue background, it makes for the perfect photo! (#buzzlightyearwall)
Up Wall – Hollywood Land – Not very far away from the Buzz Lightyear wall above, you’ll also find this playful homage to the Pixar film Up. Hang on to a generous bundle of balloons as you soar off into the sky like Carl Fredrickson! (#upwall)
