Celebrate the unique blend of Spanish, Mexican and Southwest American cultures at the newly re-imagined Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. This beautiful lakeside oasis offers classic influences, Disney touches and modern comforts to energize and inspire as you delight in an array of new features, eateries, and enhancements. Here are our top 5 reasons to stay at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort:
NEW Grand Destino Tower
Last year a brand new tower opened at Disney’s Coronado Springs: Grand Destino Tower. This new tower is STUNNING! Its interior spaces draw their main design influences from cosmopolitan Spanish architecture and a particularly stylish source: the Surrealist painter, Salvador Dalí. The tower also features 545 brand new rooms, 50 of which are beautiful suites! It is also home to Toledo — Tapas, Steak, & Seafood (a rooftop restaurant), Dahlia Lounge (a rooftop bar), and Barcelona Lounge (a coffee and cocktail bar in the lower lobby).
Updated Rooms
Walt Disney World seems to be updating the rooms at all of their resorts lately and Coronado Springs is no different! The standard rooms now have 2 queen beds instead of 2 full-size beds. Plus you’ll find new laminate flooring and updated lighting, along with completely refinished bathrooms with new showers, toilets, and tilework. This is also a resort that offers rooms for families of all different sizes! From a standard room that sleeps up to 4 to a suite that sleeps up to 8, there’s room for everyone!
Awesome Pool
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is home to one of the coolest pools at Walt Disney World! Guests of all ages will love the Dig Site, a sprawling pool complex with a Mayan ruins theme. Discover the Lost City of Cibola pool, whose centerpiece is a 50-foot pyramid where weary explorers can revive themselves in the waters streaming down its stone steps. A 123-foot-long waterslide featuring a spitting Jaguar spirit animal makes for a fierce ride. This area also has the largest hot tub on Walt Disney World property! If you’re feeling less adventurous, there are 3 leisure pools located around the resort at each settlement-the Casitas, Ranchos, and Cabanas.
Location
Disney’s Coronado Springs has a great location! It’s centrally located between Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Guests can get to those parks on a fairly short bus ride!
Dining Options
There is a wide range of dining options at Coronado Springs Resort. The resort features options from Maya Grill, a table service restaurant offering Tex-Mex cuisine to the colorful El Mercado de Coronado, a food court offering 7 stations of Mexican and American cuisine. There’s also Rix Sports Bar & Grill which is the perfect place to catch the game will enjoying tasty drinks, appetizers and light entrees. As I mentioned earlier, there are also newer dining options over at the Grand Destino Tower.
